Shimmering suncaps, flecks of gold.
Ceaseless currents, constant motion.
Swelling, sinking, undulating, rising.
Dusting, bursting, then disappearing.

This past weekend, I was sitting on the Jersey City Pier taking in some sun. I stared out onto the water and wrote down these words:

I am pleased to present the complete video footage of my stage play, "Waiting For A Friend," performed by actors Bill Visotski and Lou Pipon at the New York New Works Theatre Festival (Elektra Theater, NYC). The play is about a fifty-something-year old man confronted by the visit of his best friend, who died tragically when they were in high school. The man must come to terms with his lost youth and innocence, and the unstoppable passage of time, while a painful but heartfelt conversation with his teenage friend puts into perspective a life cut short versus what it means to have lived a full life. |
