The execution-style murders of NYPD officers Wenjian Lu and Rafael Ramos yesterday afternoon as they were sitting in their patrol car in Brooklyn is a sickening tragedy and an assault on decency. Living just over the river from Manhattan, it seems the city is spiraling downward. And nobody is more to blame than New Yorkers themselves who elected De Blasio in landslide numbers. What did they think was going to happen when they put someone in charge who had no executive experience, leaned far to the left, and had contempt for law and order? Really, De Blasio is no different than Obama, and the entire country has experienced how poorly that has turned out.
